Made by hand. made for you.
Your journal should feel like yours. Whether you have a fully formed design in mind or just the beginning of an idea, custom requests are welcome. Tell me what you’re thinking, and we’ll see what we can create together.
Because every journal is made by hand, there are a few guidelines for what I can create, what I can’t reproduce, and what I’ll need from you before we get started. Take a look below, then send me your idea.

A Few Things I Can’t Do
I cannot reproduce:
Copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos, artwork, or designs without permission from the rights holder
Company, sports team, university, brand, or organization logos unless you have authorization to use them
Artwork pulled from Google, Pinterest, Etsy, social media, or another creator simply because an image is publicly available
Engravings from images that are too blurry, detailed, or low-quality to convert cleanly
Designs containing hateful, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate content
If you’re providing artwork for engraving: Please submit a clean SVG when possible or a clear, high-resolution image that can be traced. I’ll let you know if your artwork needs to be adjusted before I can use it.
What I Can Create
Custom requests may include:
Wooden or fabric journals
Custom engraving on wooden covers
Names, dates, quotes, or other personalized text
Customer-provided designs or artwork
Lined, dot-grid, or blank interiors
Choice of available page counts
Painted or shimmered page edges
Ribbon bookmark colors
Elastic closures and pen holders, when available
Have an idea that isn’t listed? Ask! I’m happy to consider something new if it works with my materials and process.
Submitting a request does not place an order.
Every custom request is reviewed before it is accepted. I’ll contact you if I have questions and provide a final quote based on the design, materials, and customization requested.
Once we agree on the design, you’ll receive an invoice for your custom journal. Your order will not enter production until payment is received.
Because custom journals are made specifically for you, changes may not be possible once production begins. Please make sure everything is exactly as you want it before you agree to it.
Every Dotted Dreams & Journals piece is handmade. Slight variations in size, wood grain, fabric placement, engraving, painted edges, and other details are part of the handmade process. Hand-cut wooden covers may vary by a few millimeters.
I reserve the right to decline a custom request if I cannot confidently produce the design, obtain the necessary materials, verify permission to use submitted artwork, or believe the finished product would not meet DDJ quality standards.
Ready? Now that all that is out of the way, give me as much information as you can below. You don’t need to have every detail figured out. That’s what the conversation is for.
