Behind the Scenes

Hi, I’m Felecia. Dotted Dreams & Journals started with my love of writing, creating, and making things with my own two hands. I’ve always loved the idea of putting thoughts on paper, whether they’re plans, stories, lists, half-finished ideas, or something you just need to get out of your head. Eventually, that love of journals turned into wanting to make them myself, not just fill them.

Every Dotted Dreams journal is made by me from the page to the cover. I print, fold, punch, stitch, bind, and finish each one by hand in my home workshop in Virginia. I’m drawn to beautiful fabrics, rich textures, painted edges, wood, and all the little details that make a journal feel like it belongs to one person instead of everyone.

When I’m not making journals, I’m usually writing, working on my PhD in English, reading something with a little magic in it, or disappearing into the garage because I’ve decided I absolutely need to figure out how to make something. 😂

Dotted Dreams & Journals grew out of all of those pieces of me: creativity, writing, craftsmanship, and the belief that ordinary things can still feel a little special.
